| Beautiful rock formation and whole lot of greenery |
Another healthy option to fill your empty weekends with. Located in-line with Bukit Tabur, this hill can be accessed by anyone who has a pair of hiking shoes and love for nature, for some please bring climbing gloves, well i don't use them though.
First off, getting there is easy. Just key in Bukit Batu Chondong in Google maps at it will bring you straight to the area. Its located near zoo negara, just come in by the side. Driving in you will pass by some Chalet and some local houses. Following the GPS assisted map you will reach a dedicated parking area for ATV customers. You can park here with the expense of RM2.

| Parking area is tidy and spacious and muddy ;) |
Get warmed-up, cuz this is gonna be a short one. Get to the start point as shown below. You will walk over some puddle and some fence at the starting point and the rest is just fun.
 |
| Starting point |
Careful there, not much to hold on.
 |
| Tight squeeze |
The fun part of every hike includes the challenges throughout the journey. This hike will challenge your fear of heights and trust of ropes. Because at some points, using the ropes are inevitable.
 |
| First rope encounter |
This relatively easy climb may seem safe, but due to the tight standing space, any misstep would have dire consequences. So make sure what your hands are going to grab, where your foot is going to land.
 |
| Almost at the top |
Looking at the picture above, I would say it is around the height of 5 meters. By far the biggest challenge you will be facing throughout the whole course. Take a deep breath, loosen your legs and hands, get a good grip of the rope and haul yourself up to the top. You don't have to go through this course if you don't want to, as there are two more options for you on the right side. But if you are feeling confident, go ahead by all means.
 |
| Option 2 |
Option 2 looks quite sketchy too. Don't get your feet stuck in the meshed roots.
 |
| Option 3 |
Even further to the side you will find your way around and towards this option. The simplest of all options. You can do this without much effort, but still a slim short rope for you to get a feel of climbing.
 |
| View from the top of Bukit Batu Chondong |
To reach to the top, without any distraction and with full speed, you can easily reach it around 30 minutes or less. The air is cool and the view is majestic. There are a few spots for you to hang out at the top.
 |
| Feels like Lord of the Rings? |
As always, to my dear hikers, please keep the place clean. Don't leave behind tissue paper, batteries, food wrappers, plastic bag, etc...... Stay safe and healthy.
